The Reebok CrossFit Lifter 2.0 succeeds Reebok’s original CrossFit Lifter, and improves on it on a lot of aspects. The shoe was released in 2014, and is available in over 10 different color combinations.
This shoe is made specifically to be used in CrossFit. It’s a hybrid between a fitness sneaker and a weightlifting shoe. They stability is pretty good, and the shoe is still flexible enough to allow for dynamic exercises. This makes the shoe perfect for WOD’s that include weightlifting exercises. Because of the 0,75 inch heel raise, this shoe is also great for training single exercises like squats, bench presses, and other strength training exercises.
Shoe design / construction
The body of the shoe is made from synthetic material with a lot of mesh, which makes the shoe breathable. The backside of the body is made from synthetic leather. This material isn’t necessarily the best for optimal stability. For optimal stability, for the best weightlifting performance, the Adidas Adipower and Nike Romaleos 2 are better. Hower, this is a hybrid shoe, and the material used for this shoe is more comfortable, and allows for enough flexibility.
The sole is made to have a large contact area with the floor.
The design of the heel has changed a lot from it’s predecessor, the original CrossFit Lifter. The heel doesn’t have any recesses anymore, and is made from PEBAX TPU, which is softer material than what’s used in the original Lifter, and weightlifting-specific shoes like the Adipowers. The PEBAX TPU is slightly compressible, so it’s not optimal for weightlifting and squats, but still good. The heel is 0,75″, or 1.9 cm in height.
De CrossFit Lifter 2 uses a single metatarsal strap to improve it’s stability. This strap is heavy-duty, so you can tighten it without worrying about stretching it out or breaking. The strap is made from synthetic leather.
The single metatarsal strap is one of the main differences with the CrossFit lifter 2.0 Plus, which has two.

The lifter 2.0 fits true to size, and is normal in width. To get the best fit, make sure to first check Reebok’s sizing table.
These shoes are the best choice for CrossFit WOD’s that combine weightlifting exercises with dynamic exersizes. For WOD’s with dynamic exercises only, the Nano 4 is a better option.
