Introduction
The Reebok CrossFit Lifter plus 2.0 succeeds Reebok’s original CrossFit lifter Plus. This Reebok shoe is actually more of a weightlifting shoe than a CrossFit-specific shoe. The shoe was released in 2014, and is available in 7 different color combinations.
Use
This shoe is designed to be used in CrossFit and Olympic Weightlifting. One of the most obvious differences to the Lifter 2.0, is the second second metatarsal strap for extra stability. The overall build is also less flexible. Because of this, this shoe is best used in WOD’s with a lot of weightlifting exercises, or for Olympic weightlifting. It’s also great for other strength training exercises like squats, bench presses, overhead presses, etc.
Specs
Shoe design / construction
The largest part of the body of the Lifter 2.0 Plus is made from synthetic mesh. The toebox is made from synthetic leather. This shoe uses U-form technology. With U-form technology, you heat up the shoe in the oven, and wear it right after. This makes the shoe mold to the shape of your foot, and allows for a better and more comfortable fit.
Like with most weighlifting shoes, the sole is flat and provides good grip to the floor.
Heel
The heel is made from hardened TPU, which is very stiff and incompressible. The heel drop is 0,75″, or 1.9 cm in height. Because of the hardened TPU heel, this shoe is less suited to dynamic exercises, like boxjumps.
Metatarsal strap
De CrossFit Lifter Plus 2.0 uses a two metatarsal straps for improved stability. This straps are made out of synthetic leather, and are heavy-duty, so you can tighten it without worrying about stretching it out or breaking.
Color and design
The shoe is available in over 7 different colors. To see all of them, click here.
Sizing/Fit
This shoe fit true to size, and is normal in width. To get the best fit, make sure to first check Reebok’s sizing table.
Conclusion
These shoes are your best option for CrossFit WOD’s with a lot of weightlifting exercises. They’re also a very good option for just Olympic Weightlifting. However, both the Adidas Adipower and Nike Romaleos 2 have better stability, and are therfore better for Olympic weightlifting than the Reebok CrossFit Plus 2.0.

Hi Marco,
Here’s a source with more info: http://crossfittorque.com/u-form-custom-fit-technology/. There is also a video with instructions here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uK_9R7TyBrI. Same technology, but it’s on an older model.
